Ltd.) in kathmandu Nepal, this “Dhankute” Kukri (khukuri) is a fully functional, battle, ready special type blade made by traditional way.  This is not for decorative or display piece only, it is a true working kukri knife, hand forged with care and precision using 5160 high grade carbon steel (from  bus, truck or car)  the same steel found in vehicle leaf springs. Every kukri knife is carefully hardened and balanced for superior performance — is the same style carried by the legendary Gurkhas regularly. for maximum strength and durability, it’s designed for serious use in hunting, survival and demanding outdoor tasks. Combining time-honored craftsmanship with practical reliability, this Kukri knife arrives sharp and ready to use balanced, and ready for action-an essential tool for adventurers, and ideal for collectors, outdoor enthusiasts, hunting, survival and serious field use, as a gift item for you alike.

Key features:-

Blade length:- 9 inches polished blade, for a clean but not overly shiny look.

Blade materials:- Leaf spring (5160 high grade carbon), heat-treated and tempered for durability.

Handle:- 5 inches “full tang” handle, made from buffalo horn joined bone, providing a strong grip and traditional look.

Blade width (belly):- Approx. ~4.8 Centimeter or (48 Millimeter)

Blade thickness (spine):-  Approx. 0.6 to 07 Centimeter or ( 6 to 7  Millimeter)

Hardness:-  Edge hardened to 58–60 HRC for superior edge retention

Scabbard:- Handmade from buffalo horn, intricately carved by hand.

-This kukri is designed for chopping, fieldwork, and survival, featuring a unique blade-catching notch historically used to catch and neutralize enemy blades — a fascinating element of traditional Nepalese weaponry.

Care and maintenance:-

  •  This is a sharp tool, always use proper caution and protective gear. 
  • Apply light motor oil or blade lubricant monthly or after use
  • Avoid touching the blade with bare fingers after oiling
  • For storage, oil thoroughly, wrap in plastic (airtight), and store outside the scabbard
  • Keep dry and at room temperature
  • Clean regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt or residue
  • Keep out of reach of children, handle with care-this is a sharp tool, not a toy.
