Handmade Full Tang Machete – 20” Blade | Hunting & Survival Kukri Machete from Nepal

Crafted entirely by hand in Kathmandu, Nepal by expert bladesmiths at Kukri Nepal (Khukuri Craft Pvt. Ltd.), this traditional machete is built to perform. Designed for real-world use in hunting, survival, and outdoor scenarios, this long-blade kukri-style machete is a powerful and reliable cutting tool — not just for display.

Built for Performance — Not for Show

Unlike mass-produced or decorative kukris on the market, this blade is forged with 5160 high carbon steel sourced from recycled truck leaf springs. It’s hardened to 58–60 RC, carefully tempered, and meticulously balanced for strength, durability, and edge retention.

If you’re looking at cheap kukris, be cautious: many are display-only pieces made from inferior materials. We don’t sell junk. We only offer high-quality, functional kukris meant for real use — blades that deliver performance when it matters most.

Key Features:

  • Blade Length: 20 inches

  • Blade Material: 5160 High Carbon Steel (Leaf Spring)

  • Handle Length: 7 inches
  • Handle Material: Rosewood, full tang
  • Blade Width (Belly):  Approx~5.3 Centimeter or (53 mm)
  • Blade Thickness (Spine):  Approx~0.6 Centimeter or (6 mm)
  • Edge Hardness: 58–60 RC
  • Scabbard: Handmade from cottonwood and wrapped in genuine buffalo leather

This machete is not only a cutting tool — it’s also designed with traditional kukri features that can catch and neutralize an opponent’s blade in close combat. A fascinating and functional detail for martial artists and collectors alike.

Care Instructions:

  • Apply a light coat of motor oil or any blade lubricant after each use or at least once a month.

  • Wipe the blade clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture and fingerprints after oiling.

  • For long-term storage, oil the blade heavily, wrap it in plastic (no air pockets), and store it outside the scabbard in a cool, dry place.

  • Keep out of reach of children and handle with care — this is a sharp, real blade.
