Handmade Gurkha-Issue Traditional Military khukuri (Kukri)-Service no-1 (10-Inch Blade)

Authentic. Functional. Forged in Nepal.

This is a genuine, hand-forged Gurkha military kukri made by expert bladesmiths at Kukri Nepal (Khukuri Craft Pvt. Ltd., Kathmandu, Nepal). Crafted with care and tradition, this kukri is not a cheap display piece — it is a real working blade made from high-quality 5160 high carbon steel, properly hardened and balanced for serious use.

We do not sell low-quality or decorative kukris. Every kukri we offer is fully functional, forged to be used in the field — whether for survival, bushcraft, hunting, or as a collector’s item with real heritage.

About the Kukri Design

This is the standard-size military kukri issued to British Gurkha soldiers. The kukri is not just a tool — it’s a symbol of honor and warrior identity, carried throughout a Gurkha soldier’s service life. Each kukri is subject to inspection and regularly used in parade, duty, and even battle.

The scabbard includes two utility tools:

  • Karda – A small utility knife for small tasks

  • Chakmak – A sharpening tool
The notch in the blade, known as Kaudi, prevents blood from running onto the grip and can also catch or deflect enemy blades.
